Rotary Drum Vacuum Filters

RVF's provide reliable and continuous separation in starch, gluten, corn syrup and waste treatment plants with minimal operator attention and low maintenance costs.

Rotating drum is partially submerged in the feed slurry. Vacuum draws liquid through the filter-aid on the drum surface which retains the solids. The vacuum air and slurry separate in a separation tank. Finally, the dirty cake is discharged from the drum by means of knife system or free falling to a conveyor or chute.

A typical system includes:
• vacuum pump
• filtrate pump
• vacuum/filtrate receiver
• conveyor
• hood

Advantages
• Continuous separation of solid and liquid
• Minimal operator attention
• Low maintenance time and expense
• A well-built machine offering long equipment life
